National Restrictions.

4th November 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,

As you will be aware, England enters a period of national restrictions commencing tomorrow. As a school, we are so pleased that schools are remaining open and that your child/ren can continue to attend school. We know that the best place for your child is to be in school, learning and socialising with their friends. This fully supports your child's academic progress as well as ensuring their wellbeing and mental health is supported. My staff are doing everything that they can to ensure our covid risk assessment is adhered to as much as possible to keep our whole school community safe.

I would like to politely request that parents ensure that they support school fully by ensuring that you stick to the expectations of the national restrictions which come into force tomorrow. The restrictions are being established to reduce our day to day contact with other people as this then reduces the spread of infection.

Therefore from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December please can I remind all parents that you should not be socialising with other families indoors or outdoors.

It is vital that families & parents do not congregate talking either before or after school. When dropping off your child or collecting your child from school, please  then ensure that you leave the area immediately. Whilst I completely appreciate that many parents enjoy the social aspect of collecting and dropping off their child at school, I am requesting that you refrain from doing this, during this period, in order to prevent the spread of the infection.

Please remember that parents can continue to form a childcare bubble with another household for the purposes of informal childcare, where the child is 13 or under.
Children can move between homes if their parents are separated.

It is vital that everyone plays their part in keeping our school community as safe as possible.

Thank you for your support and understanding with this.

Kind regards,
Mrs McAleny
